In today’s world, conversations about the environment and personal health are unavoidable. The mission to shrink one’s ecological footprint is on the minds of many, but society and years of habit or tradition often prevent us from being able to completely overturn our lives simply to reduce damage to the planet. Besides - what’s in it for me? Businesses and local governments are often accused of “greenwashing” - throwing lots of money at becoming using a little less enegry or planting a few extra trees without really thinking about long-term goals. Small changes of habit can have dramatic outcomes if carried on a large enough scale.
We also say “Shrink Yours” to imply you can be lowering your lifestyle’s impact on yourself as well as the planet, in the foods you eat and the same habits you would change to help your local ecosystem or watershed. The effects can be beneficial to your body, mind, the local watershed, and possibly even have ripple effects to other parts of your ecosystem.
Liberatr produces several podcasts, which means they plan on posting regular updates in the form of audio or video files. No iPod or portable MP3 player of any kind is required to enjoy our podcasts. All of our shows are simple mp3 or quicktime files, which can be played in every popular media player. All of our podcast sites also include players to stream the episodes right from the page. There also exists a great enabling technology for podcasts called RSS, or Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds allow you the listener to be notified every time we release a new show, and to automatically download the file if you use iTunes, a podcatcher like Miro, or a media browser like Songbird. To subscribe to all our shows via a single feed, please paste this RSS Feed in to your RSS reader or podcatcher.
